Gawr Gura Quest for Bread Hat hunt tier list

S is magma. C is a pickle joke you forgot to turn around after.

Hats Tier List

This list ranks how annoying a hat is to grab, not how cute it is on Gura’s head. Steam put silly hats on the store page and never printed a public numbered list during launch week. The honest ranking is therefore four hunt types you can recognise from footage. Fill real names into the hat tracker when the community agrees; do not wait for this page to invent them.

S — Lava greed

Anything that sits across orange magma, on a torch pillar, or on a rock that needs a spin the exit does not need. The lava-fortress shot with a white sphere at Gura’s feet is the textbook. If you cannot see the landing, it is S-tier even if the cosmetic later turns out to be a joke hat. Clear the grey path first using How to Play. Come back after a story file.

A — Camera hide

Hats behind the camera after a door, on the far side of a concert floor, or in the dark between Calliope skulls. The named bar is a permission slip to ignore them until the fight ends. Rank these A because the jump is often easy and the camera is not. Save-anytime means you can turn around after Mori Calliope without losing the night.

B — Safe ledge

On-the-way pickups: a sphere beside the torch block you already jump, a platform you land on to leave a room, a roofed well in the starry canyon that does not require a death-plane commit. Grab these on a first run if the landing is already on-screen. Skip them in speedrun mode.

C — Dialogue leftover

After the pickle line with Amelia and Ina on the torii platform, look at the wet edges and the trident on the floor. These hunts are C because they cost attention, not lives. Mash the joke, then sweep. The walkthrough treats these rooms as rest; this list treats them as a second lap.

How to argue without fake names

If two players disagree, they should disagree about the type (S lava vs A camera), not about a spreadsheet this wiki refused to fabricate. Pair the argument with the hat guide for method and the boss tier list if the room is an arena. Hats never outrank a named health bar. After you fill the tracker, bounce back to the Tier List Hub or the Guides Hub.

Demo runners already skip S-tier sparkles. That is the correct instinct for a timer and the wrong instinct for 100%. Two files, two jobs. Steam sold roughly two hours plus hats; this page is why the plus exists.

First-clear versus second-file

On a first clear, treat every S-tier as a tracker tick, not a death. The game saves anytime. A drowned shark for a cosmetic is still a bad trade even if the review called hats the reason to buy a second evening. On a second file, reverse it: walk the exit line once, then spend the night only on S and A. B and C fill themselves if you look up.

The starry canyon under the bathtub sky changes the death-plane language. A long fall is not magma; it still belongs in S if you cannot see the landing. Recalibrate before you copy lava habits into a blue ravine. Calliope’s packed skulls belong in A until the named bar is gone, then you may reclassify a platform as B if it was on the walk-out line.

If you came from speedrun clips, remember Graphene’s 2:43.96 and DiabloFG’s 2:41 ignore almost every sparkle. Copy that only on the timed save. Copy the opposite on the 100% save. The achievements overlay may later care about looking ridiculous on purpose; until Steam prints those conditions, assume hats are optional jokes and rank them as hunts.
