Gawr Gura Quest for Bread Boss encounter tier list
Named bars outrank hallways. Pickle scenes are not S-tier.
Boss tiers on this wiki rank arena language, not HP bars we cannot see. Steam sold unique, challenging fights. Public footage names one of them in giant letters: Mori Calliope. Everything else is typed from how the floor behaves. If a room is a hallway with extra enemies, it is not S. If a room changes music, locks a door, and prints a name, it is an exam. Read the boss guide for verbs; use this page to decide which exam you should study first.
S — Named concert, packed floor
Calliope’s room is the current S. Cyan skull platforms crowd the floor. Pink light columns occupy vertical space. A red throne sits unused in the back. Speakers and silhouettes line the stage. Gura’s chibi portrait and two HUD bars stay glued to the corner while a red bar labelled Mori Calliope occupies the top. That composition is a different skill test from magma rocks. The camera can bury the named bar. Skulls are platforms, not collectibles, until the bar dies. Then they may hide an A-tier hat — see the hat tier list.
Save at the door. Watch one telegraph cycle. Do not hunt millinery. Simple melee still loses to a laser you walked into. Rank stays S until a later unique fight proves louder in player reports; we will not invent those names early.
A — Lava and moving death planes
The fortress Kenny advertised for Next Fest is A: orange floors kill, grey rocks live, torch pillars tempt. It is an exam of jump apex from How to Play, not of reading a named bar. Demo runners already treat it as a route. If you died here more than on Calliope, your camera is the boss, not the AI. Recalibrate, then re-rank your own night. The starry canyon under a bathtub sky is the same letter with a different texture: long falls instead of magma.
B — Palette shifts with a locked door
When the colours change and a door stops you, assume a test even if no name is printed yet. Steam promised multiple unique fights. Older coverage mentioned several distinct visual spaces. B means “study before you swing” without pretending we have a screenshot of every health bar. The walkthrough flags those gates.
C — Cameo rest rooms
Gura, Amelia, and Ina on a wet torii talking pickles is C. Halo, kimono, coat and tie, blue hoodie, trident on the floor. That is rest. Enjoy the line. Do not assign it a DPS rank. Myth faces are not automatically bosses. Steam advertised cameos from all five Myth members; only a named bar or a locked arena makes the fight real.
After you have samples, write your own order in a note next to the achievements overlay. Then go back to the Tier List Hub or into speedrun mode if the S-tier room is now a split you can do cold. Two hours is short enough that honesty about difficulty matters more than a fake ten-row chart.
Re-rank after you have two named fights, not after one screenshot. Calliope is S because the floor is a crowd, not because we measured HP. If a later unique boss is a single platform over magma, it may be A with a name printed. If it is another packed concert, it stays S. Honesty is the feature of a short game: there are not enough fights to inflate a ten-row chart. Write your order, fight, edit the note. Then go back to the Tier List Hub.
Write the date next to your personal order. A list without a date is a vibe. After a patch, compare the date to Updates before you argue on Steam. If nothing patched, your deaths are still the data and Calliope is still the public S. That is enough ranking for a two-hour game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for first-time shark pilots and 100% hunters.
Is Calliope in the full release?
Footage shows a named bar. Treat the fight as real and expect other unique bosses as Steam advertised.
Are dialogue scenes bosses?
No. Rank them C unless a named bar appears. See the boss guide.
Should I hat-hunt in S rooms?
After the bar dies. Cosmetics wait; the hat guide agrees.
